Homelife and politics also contribute to lifestyle trends, which in turn influence the clothes we wear. These are the changes that make any era of society special in relation to the study of the costume of a period."

Woodstock: Like It Was
New York Times (New York, NY) Aug. 25, 1969
Summary: The Woodstock Music and Art Fair drew hundreds of thousands of young people to upstate New York. The festival lasted three days and included performances by Janis Joplin, Joan Baez and the Grateful Dead, among others. Woodstock became synonymous with flower power, the hippie culture and anti-Vietnam War protests that dominated the mid-to-late 1960s. In this article, six people who attended Woodstock describe the event in their own words.
